Bettie Carmack has practiced law for over 20 years with a PASSION towards public service.  Having first worked at a non-profit agency for the indigent, Bettie was able to help stop landlords from evicting tenants, helped spouses gain custody of their kids, helped reduced child support obligations, and helped to stop garnishments.  As a government lawyer, Bettie was instrumental in making sure that the funds from a charitable trust benefited orphaned minority children living near Parker High School. Bettie also was successful in precluding government funds from being awarded for false claims against correctional officers and governmental officials. Pro Se' means that you represent yourself in court.  If you cannot afford the services of a lawyer to appear in court on your behalf, you can appear in court and act  as your own lawyer.  The attorney can prepare documents for you to file on your own behalf in court.  The cost can range from $250.00 per document to $500.00 per document.  It is advised, however, that everyone [including lawyers] hire a lawyer to represent them in court.

No consultation will be provided in cases of conflict or areas outside of the general scope of practice of the firm.  In the consultation, you would provide information about your legal matter and the attorney would review any documents.  Limited advice will be provided.  The consultation fee is NON-REFUNDABLE, once earned, and will be deducted from any future retainer fee agreements (if applicable)..
